When someone lands on your webite, what can they do there?
The only action most companies have on their website is “contact us”. What if I am not ready to contact you? What if I want to browse and learn more before I talk to sales?
You need activities on your website that can help people self-serve and educate themselves on why they should buy from you. More importantly, these activities/tools are a great gauge of interest. Here are some good conversion tools for any website:
- Include things people can request, like watching a video, downloading a work book or signing up for a newsletter.
- Make sure there is a mix of “free” (things I can do without including my contact info) and things that are so valauble I give you my name.
- Offer a demo. This may sound weird if you are not a software company, but everyone has some sort of the demo they can include to illustrate how they would solve a potential customer’s problem.
